Old School!

Paper Players Challenge: Taking it Way Back

Remember Formica countertops in saffron and olive drab?  What about the Corelleware like this:

Vintage Corelle creamer 70's

And this:

Vintage Butterfly Gold Corning Corelle Cups and Saucers

Well, the Paper Players had me traveling back with their color challenge this week!

So here is my super CAS take on their delicious and nostalgic color combo!

But wait, there’s a surprise inside!

Slip the twine down and there’s the sentiment!

All inks are Fresh Inks in Pumpkin, Harvest, Chocolate and Slate!  A bit of textured chocolate paper embellishes the front!

I used Gina K. heavy and layering weight paper in Ivory.

The camera and phone stamps are from Stampendous; the adorable typewriter is Rubbermoon.  I stamped, embossed, and fussy cut them.  The letters are from Graphic 45‘s vintage set of woodblock letters, numbers and symbols!

Whew, I cannot believe I made it before the deadline!

Now snap to it lickety-split and check out the other fantastic takes on this color combo at The Paper Players!

  1. I love your Old School take on the challenge! I hadn’t thought about it, but the colors really do take me back a few decades 🙂 I love your CAS treatment with the three elements. Great take on the challenge. So glad you joined the paper Players this week
